With temperatures dropping below zero, I thought it was about time I flagged up the products I’m currently relying on day after day in my winter skincare routine. In winter my focus obviously falls into deep moisturising and all kinds of efforts to keep my face looking fresh despite the lack of Vitamin D. Most of these products I discovered quite recently, but so far they seem to be doing the trick. I couldn’t picture all of the products that I’m currently using cause you might know, living between two cities makes it harder to gather them all in one place, but I will make sure to mention the other ones in the next post to come. Meanwhile, I would really love to hear your thoughts on this post and if smth related to my beauty routine will interest you in the future. And now let’s get it started!
Antipodes Divine Face Oil | The first thing I have to shout out, as from all the face oils I have tried before, this one has proven to be the best. It’s not greasy and my skin just soaks it perfectly in, even though I have a quite oily skin. I usually apply it at night and when I wake up the next morning, my skin feels nourished, naturally moisturised and silky to touch. It is absolutely divine.
Alpha-H Liquid Gold | I’ve been using this for over a month and I can already see the difference. I usually apply it every 3rd night without applying a moisturiser after and to my surprise even if it’s acid it didn’t dry my skin, took away redness from spots, cleaned and tightened the pores and also gave a soft and glory look.
Biotherm Micellar Water | The make up remover I swear by, especially when I’m too lazy to use coconut oil. It perfectly removes even waterproof mascara and leaves the skin soft and fresh.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion | This is the product that initially got me hooked on Mario Badescu line. After seeing it praised all over the internet, I decided to try it myself and it definitely does what it promises. I do not have acne but I do get spots from time to time and this lotion just magically dries them out. I just dap on with a cotton bud, apply it on my spots and leave it overnight. It dries in super quick so I don’t have to wait for it before going to bed, and when I wake up any spot that I had has noticeably reduced in size or has completely gone. As it is quite strong it is essential to moisturize the skin before using it.
Mario Badescu Special Cleansing Lotion | I love to use it as a toner as it works perfectly on my partially oily skin without drying it out. Though I have to admit that it has quite a strong smell, so I wouldn’t suggest it if you are sensitive to smells. And since it is pretty strong, you have to apply a light moisturiser afterwards, but it but it works wonders!
Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream | I must say I really love Antipodes, because so far all the products I’ve tried turned out to be absolutely amazing. I love the idea that they are only using natural ingredients and this eye cream is something I can’t go without. I apply it before going to bed and the next morning my dark circles become less visible and my eyes look brighter. It’s very moisturising, absorbs very quickly and isn’t greasy at all! I’m definitely going to buy a second jar.
Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream | This thick cream is both light and rich all at once, which I absolutely love. As with other Antipodes products it’s all natural and is my ultimate night moisturiser, especially if my skin looks tired or a little more sensitive than usual.
