Couldn’t find a better opportunity to write this post on off duty style, than on this sunny Sunday that I’m spending on the couch. Finally. Back to the subject, over the years I made a shopping rule that every time I invest in a piece of clothing, I always have to firstly think if I’m going to wear it the next season. If the answer is yes, then it goes straight to the shopping basket, if it’s a no…well this gets complicated. Sometimes it’s not that easy, but I try to follow it as much as I can. I know, those seasonal trends can be quite tempting, but I can guarantee they are not going to last. That’s the hard truth. I do realise that I’m wearing flat mules which is kind of the biggest shoe trend while telling you not to follow the trends. The thing is, I’m not saying you should absolutely ignore them, you just have to choose wisely. Having a handful of essentials paired with a statement piece is a way to go. Find a trend that works for you and combine it with some of your wardrobe staples. Case in point, put a suede jacket, black tee, a pair of cropped jeans and flat mules together and you’ve pretty much got my ideal ensemble. What do you think?
