I just got back from a blissful two weeks on the Spanish coast, a place that’s long been considered to be my second home. As my parents live there we are used to spend a good part of our summer there, only this time it was more like an impromptu holiday. After we’ve been in Marrakech in May, I really wanted to visit the coast of Italy by the end of the summer, to be more precise Portofino was on the top of my list, but as booking a holiday in August last minute isn’t really the best idea we’ve settled to not break our tradition and fly to Spain once again. This time I really enjoyed revisiting already well known and favourite places while also discovering new ones and so I found myself in my own Spanish Portofino in a small village northern of Valencia. Despite the fact that we promised ourself it will be a proper holiday we ended up picking the camera every time we saw a beautiful place and so I came back to Germany with a hard drive full of content.
One of these memorable moments was this morning that we spent sweating our way around the medieval city stopping at literally every corner to capture its beauty. Luckily the other tourists weren’t as active as we were and so around 9am the city was almost empty. I was wearing this head to toe black ensemble and despite the common belief that you can’t wear black during summer, I did it and oh boy did I enjoy it. Having an organza shirt really comes in handy as it adds that extra layer without making itself really noticed. To be honest, organza shirts are my new obsession and while I own just this black one and one in blueish gray tone, I’m planning to expand my arsenal. What do you think?
