Here’s to a hot week spend entirely outdoors. With the heat wave hitting Amsterdam, all I wish is to be back in Marrakech. Seriously, the 40 °C there is more bearable. I guess it’s all in the thought that you are on a holiday and that is actually how it has to be. Dry heat, endless sun and as much bare skin as possible.
The next stop of my Moroccan diary is the incredibly charming Jardin Majorelle. On one of our last days in Marrakech we finally decided to face the long queue at the entrance and step into this magical oasis. I knew that a place as unique as Jardin Majorelle would require something absolutely exquisite.

Today I’m starting with the editorial we shot at La Mamounia under 40°C heat and even if the photos can’t quite tell, believe me – I was burning on the inside. To wear a ballon sleeved top with high waist trousers and a pair of black leather babouche that in one hour attracts more sun than Amsterdam gets in entire summer isn’t something I could recommend. But, if you pick any other day when the temperature is bellow 30°C that might be the chicest outfit you can think of wearing in Marrakech.

Travelling to Morocco was one of the most beautiful and eye-opening trips I had and looking back at all the photos we shot makes me wanna book a flight back straight away. Sadly, it’s no longer an option.
That being said, I present you the first summer holiday series that Eugene quickly snapped of me before the sun went down on one of our first days in Marrakech.
