There are some things that will never go out of fashion, and one such thing is the Breton stripe. No matter how many of stripe tops I already have, I keep buyin’ em and I keep wearin’ em. After my post on how to master Parisian style, I had a look in my wardrobe and realised that the big amount of neutrals, vintage Levi’s jeans, neck scarves and now also a straw bag can only mean one thing – I’m a strong admirer of the french style.
So, I decided it might be a good idea to channel my inner Brigitte Bardot and bounce around Amsterdam in a striped top, skinny white pants and a Birkin-esque straw basket. All of the French staples that I luckily managed to find at Marks & Spencer. Maybe it looks like a cliche, but I suddenly felt like I was out of some 70’s movie. Pretty good feeling I must admit. Something that makes me want to buy peonies and baguettes and cart around the city all day long.
