Nestled just 20 minutes outside the city, there is no place better if you are looking for some tranquility outside the hustle and bustle of Marrakech than Les Cinq Djellabas . This small boutique hotel consisting of ten “bungalows” is a perfect oasis of calm, relaxation and luxury. If you are looking for a slice of heaven and an unforgettable holiday, here you will get one.
Each of the 10 “rooms” is in fact a private african-style lodge with a mixture of modern design and traditional Moroccan craft. The lodge is very spacious equipped with a large bed, a beautiful bathroom with an walk-in shower, fireplace, private outdoor seating area and is also being surrounded by banana trees which gives you a nice feeling of privacy.
Everything about this place seemed immaculate and I’m not even exaggerating it. From the hotel grounds that a small team of gardeners were often busy discreetly looking after to the service and the settings themselves. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were served whenever we wanted to and wherever we wanted to, be it outside our lodge, by the pool, outside the restaurant or in the restaurant. Also everything was always served in a beautiful way and was extremely delicious. To be honest, in all the time we have stayed there, we didn’t wanted to leave the place. Les Cinq Djellabas offers you your own tropical oasis that is just hard to break with anything else.
In the morning, we awoke to the sound of chirping birds and we served our breakfast on the terrace just outside our “bungalow”. We spent the majority of our time by the charming green-stone pool with luxurious double loungers. Due to the hotel only having ten lodges in total, the pool was quite often empty which always made me tres happy. Every evening we were served with dinner in front of our lodge as we chose to do with breakfast, only this time it was all lightened up with candles. A truly magical moment.
All in all, an incredibly dreamy place with a super attentive staff that were doing everything to make our stay special. Les Cinq Djellabas is one of those extremely friendly, I want to come back every year kind of places. So, if you are looking for a slice of heaven just outside Marrakech I couldn’t recommend Les Cinq Djellabas enough.
