Hello hello there, pretty birds! After my little absence, I though it might be a good time to start with my favourite beauty products of this spring. Over the past few months I’ve got so obsessed with everything skin related, so I’m super excited to share some of the products that’ve been really helping me out both taking care of my skin and also make-up wise. Now that we are back from our travels I’m ready to share my little set of favourites. So without further ado, let’s get to it…
Dr. Barbara Sturm cleanser // This is something I would like to start with as it’s the newest addition to my skincare routine. If you haven’t heard of Dr. Barbara Sturm, bookmark it now because it’s taking the beauty world by storm. I’ve been literally dying to try some of those highly praised all other the web products and now after using them for about two weeks, I can say that I’m in love. All the products are done on molecular-scientific level and harness the power of natural ingredients. To be honest they are in the more pricey category but if you are in your late twenties and your skin is super sensitive I would especially recommend investing in it. But let’s get back to the cleanser, after using quite harsh products for years now (cause that what I thought will help my oily skin – don’t do that), I finally found the perfect foam cleanser that even though feels extremely gentle provides a deeply cleansing and leaves the skin super soft. And what’s even more important without stripping its moisture.
Dr. Barbara Sturm face cream // Another one of my favourites from the line, is the face cream. It again feels incredibly light on the skin and leaves the skin fresh and healthy-looking. I love to use it especially in the morning before applying my make-up and it feels absolutely amazing. Now I’m heavily inspired to try some more products.
Davines Minu Shampoo// Almost a year ago I switched from drugstore hair products to Davines as I’ve heard so many good things about the brand and their products are sulfate and paragon free, which is super important if you want a healthy hair. After finishing my NouNou shampoo that I had before, I decided to try the Minu one (yes, the minty blue color was what really attracted me). As I have bleached hair it works just perfectly for me. It gently cleanses, lathers really easily and leaves my hair soft without actually making it look oily.
Davines Minu Conditioner// This amazing conditioner makes my hair soft and silky and what is more important untangles my dry ends. I like to keep it on as much as possible while I’m showering for a better effect.
Aesop parsley seed cleansing masque// I love to carry this one around with me especially when I’m travelling. I use it twice a week and so far it works perfectly. Ideal if you like myself have an oily skin, though I’m not sure it will be as good for someone with much more sensitive or a drier complexion skin.
Charlotte Tilbury The Feline Flick eyeliner// Even if you are new over here the first thing you probably noticed about me is that I almost always and I mean always wear an eyeliner. This one from Charlotte Tilbury is my new favourite one as it is super easy to use and what is super important is quite long lasting. So, I don’t have to reapply it every other hour.
Tom Ford Extreme Mascara// This has been one of the best ones I’ve tried to date. It separates the lashes nicely while while staying put for hours. What else can a girl ask for?!
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder// I don’t use this one on a daily basis but every time I have an event to attend this is my little life saver. It instantly mattifies and sets my makeup while making all the shininess from my T-zone disappear. A highly recommend one.
Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quad Nude Dip// Features very nice shades that can be easily mixed and match depending on the look you want to achieve. This palette is great for creating whether a more natural look or a bolder one during the night. I also like to mix it with my Chanel Les 4 Ombres eyeshadowChanel Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow as the colors and the textures of those two pallets work especially well together.
Tom Ford Frantic Pink blush// This very light pink blush works just perfect for spring if you want to add an youthful pinky-peach glow to your cheeks. I use it as my main blush now, while before I had a Chanel blush in Evening Beige shadeChanel blush in Evening Beige shade which was just perfect for winter months.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation// I would definitely recommend this one to anyone with normal to oily skin. It evens out skin tone perfectly, feels very lightweight and wears well throughout the day. This is definitely my favourite foundation for this spring.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow// First of all I have to say that I was stupid enough to purchase it in the wrong shade. I haven’t looked and accidentally bought the one for the darker skin tones but I kind of found a new way to use it. While I still can use the bronzer and if I blended well it looks absolutely beautiful. However, the highlight part is way too dark for my pale skin tone. But I like to use it as eyeshadow and oh boy it looks stunning! It comes in a perfect peach shade that adds a cool pop of colour to my eyes.
Now I would like to hear what are your spring beauty must haves and if you have tried any of the products listed above?
